3D Printer – Diamond Roll Up Doors

Diamond Roll Up Door, Inc. recently purchased a small 3D printer to assist/aid the design of new parts for their roller shutter doors. Currently Diamond has several new projects which require new parts to make the complete assembly. One project is a utility body roll up bed cover. The entire door was initially drawn up in 3D SolidWorks. Drawings were sent from SolidWorks to the printer and small sample parts were printed on the 3D printer to ensure functionality and design. Internally designing and creating the first three parts has been extremely economical. Three prototype parts would have been more than the cost of the printer. The picture shows the three parts and a demo frog which was already programed into the printer.
