Westfield Carousel is located on the Albany Highway in Perth’s south-east, just 12 kilometres from the CBD. One of the largest shopping centres in Perth, Carousel caters to nearly one third of the city’s diverse population with the total trade area population exceeding 630,000. The centre also benefits from close proximity to two of Perth’s major university campuses, Curtin University’s Bentley Campus and the South Street Campus of Murdoch University.
In 2017 a $350 million redevelopment started, which will deliver a redefined retail, dining and social destination to Perth’s south east. The completed centre will feature a new David Jones department store, more than 60 additional specialty retail outlets as well as a new fashion precinct, and a landscaped rooftop dining and entertainment quarter. On completion Westfield Carousel is expected to become the largest centre in Western Australia.

As far back as November 2014 and with a state election looming, the then Labour opposition leader Daniel Andrews promised the people of Ballarat that their local Wendouree Ambulance Station would be rebuilt if Labour won the election. The existing facility was not a 21st century station and had a variety of problems.
The Labour party went on to win the election that year, now fast forward to 2018 and the promise of rebuilding the Wendouree Station is complete. The new Wendouree Station was handed over to Victoria Ambulance in May 2018 and is now a state of the art station servicing the greater Ballarat area.
Local Ballarat building contractors Q Construction were appointed to build the station.

Premium UK retailer Debenhams has opened its first Australian store in Melbourne, offering a suite of exclusive designers and new services and technologies to attract customers. The 3600 square metre store is located in the basement of the St Collins Lane mall in Collins Street, and apart from a clutch of labels and designers never seen in the Australian market, Debenhams is offering innovative new services that will distinguish its offering from locals. Staff will carry mobile point-of-sale devices so sales can be completed anywhere in the store and customers will no longer be forced to wait in a queue to make a transaction. And a new Debenhams Australia app will enable shoppers to create a wishlist of items that will be ready and waiting to be tried on.
Mirage Doors were engaged to manufacture and install an 11.3 meter wide, Perforated Series 3 Aluminium roller shutter to provide maximum store access. The door required a custom shaped tapered bottom rail to match the floor line. Careful planning was required to deliver and manoeuvre the door into place in the busy Collins lane area. The result was spectacular.
During the British Summer which lasts approximately a week, we went to visit Marshalls natural stone quarry in Huddersfield. The birthplace of the Rugby League. Marshalls stone quarry’s roller shutter was manual, but due to continuous use they decided an electric operated one would be more appropriate.
Our team headed out to the site to remove the old shutter which is considerably large, our focus was getting a 1no 3phase electric roller shutter operating as quickly as possible. The heat was a slight hinderance and annoyance but the job was completed on time and another customer completely satisfied.
