Ceva Logistics Alliance – Truganina

Ceva Logistics is the world’s fourth largest logistics company and has just moved into one of the biggest sheds in the southern hemisphere, a half-kilometre-long storage and distribution facility equivalent to eight MCG playing fields in size.

The Netherlands-based CEVA Logistics now occupies the new $80 million single span building in Melbourne’s western suburbs, and is part of a rationalisation that has also seen it consolidate into similar, although smaller, “super sites” in Brisbane and Perth.

The building acts as a staging, storage and distribution point for companies as varied as General Motors Holden, Mazda, Michelin and Continental tyres, NBN Co’s equipment, items for Caltex’s service station convenience stores and Accent shoes.

Group Company Ansa Doors has worked with tier 1 construction company Frasers Property Group to supply and install a range of H13 type heavy duty type industrial doors.

Ansa has been working together with Frasers Property Group for a number of years to deliver successful projects for many new businesses in Melbourne’s industrial and commercial suburbs.

CA Property Group – Surrey Hills Development

Group company Airport Doors has recently completed the supply and installation of a Fully Internal Fold Up Door.

The doors was supplied to CA Property Group as part of a building development in Surrey Hills Victoria.

The fully internal doors are suitable for applications where building façade’s are directly in line with boundary lines. The door fully retracts into the building envelope, thus avoiding any encroachments onto the street.

This particular door was glazed with 6.35mm clear laminated glass with reflective film to provide the tenant viewing privacy from the outside looking in.

IDE Completes New Factory and Office Extension

This latest phase of work has future-proofed the site and will allow significant increases in production capacity.

Aluminium Shutter Doors In The Work Truck Market

Diamond Roll Up Door, Inc. has received a purchase order to start providing aluminum shutter doors for basic utility bodies used on numerous different types of work trucks in the USA. The body manufacturer currently makes several different types of vehicle bodies out of aluminum. They are going to start manufacturing aluminum utility bodies and plan on using only aluminum shutter doors, no swing doors.

Aluminum shutter doors are used on nearly 80% of the compartments found on fire and emergency vehicles because the manufacturers have determined that it is less expensive, easier to manufacture, easier to access vehicle compartments, and most of all safer for the end user.

With the work truck industry trying to reduce weights and make vehicles safer, the aluminum shutter doors make the most sense.
The work truck market dwarfs the fire and emergency market in the USA. Once the aluminum shutter doors prove themselves in the work truck market, the opportunities should be endless. Diamond’s Dover brand shutters are the leader in the USA work truck market and will prove to be a great all around solution for compartment access in the future.
