As reported in previous months news items the AM Group was successful in its tender for the Cobham Juvenile Justice Project located in Western Sydney.
The AM Group is in the process of completing Stage 1 which involved manufacturing and installing a range of security doors, frames and windows.
Stage 1 to be complete by the end of September 2012 with Stage 2 commencing at present.
Group company – Lietzke Doors was chosen as the supplier of pressed steel door frames for the $69 million redevelopment of the Whyalla Hospital. The project’s brief is a first of its kind for a regional hospital centre, to be constructed complete with an integrated cancer facility. The redevelopment includes the refurbishment of theatre and day surgery facilities, the expansion of the mental health and rehabilitation wards and the relocation of the Hospital’s existing surgical and medical wards to new premises.
The Lietzke pressed metal steel door frames are custom designed and manufactured to suit the specific requirements of the project and the Health industry.
The Whyalla Hospital Redevelopment is expected to be complete by mid 2013.
Group Company – Industrial Door Engineering (IDE) has continued it’s strong working relationship with UK Councils.
Wrexham Council, the largest public authority in North Waleshave contracted IDE to upgrade the fire shutters in (6) of its schools during the summer school holidays. This is the fifth consecutive year that IDE have performed the upgrade of various Canteen Servery shutters for Wrexham Council using the IDE 1 Hour Sentry Fire Shutter.
The Sentry Fire Shutter is specified by numerous Local Authorities because of its unobtrusive design and the fact that its unique battery back up facility can operate for up to six weeks should there be power supply problems.
Group Company – Ansa Doors have handed over Bendigo Ambulance Station, comprising (4) bifold doors and (1) double sliding automated gate.
All doors are integrated into the Ambulance Victoria control systems and have failsafe rapid release systems for emergency egress.
Group company – Ansa Doors have successfully tendered to supply and install (6) large industrial double swing doors for the Yarra Trams Depot in Southbank.
The Southbank Tram Depot is subject to a state funded $24 million upgrade in a venture that will create more than 50 jobs and will help prepare the network for the arrival of (50) new low-floor trams. The tram facility can house all current trams as well as the proposed low floor trams.
To achieve the requirements of the Tender Ansa Doors worked closely with Leighton Contractors and Yarra Trams. Completion is expected in September.
Group company – Austral Monsoon Building Products having previously been awarded the fixed ventilation Louvre project for the Queensland Children’s Hospital Energy Plant Room, has also successfully negotiated with Abi Group the fixed ventilation Louvre contract for the main hospital building.
The project comprises Austral Monsoon AME 100 Single Stage and AME100 HV 2 Stage louvres to various plant rooms throughout the building.
Group Company – Austral Monsoon Building Products has recently been awarded the fixed louvre contract for the $59 million dollar redevelopment of the RNA Industrial Pavilion into a world-class Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The redevelopment is included in stage 1 of the $2.9 billion dollar RNA Showground Regeneration Project being managed and constructed by Lend Lease Developments.
The initial contract is to supply and install Austral Monsoon AME 100 Single Stage and AME 100 HV 2 stage Louvres to the Industrial Pavilion.
